FAQ: Does My Physical Therapist Communicate With My Doctor?

Yes. We pride ourselves in maintaining the highest of standards when it comes to patient care, which is why we continuously communicate with your doctor throughout your Plan Of Care.

After attending your first visit, the physical therapist will write an Initial Evaluation that contains information obtained during the session, such as measurements and other clinical findings. The therapist will also include various goals set for throughout your Plan Of Care and the detailed steps that will be taken to achieve those goals.

The initial evaluation is sent to your referring physician, along with recurrent Progress Reports as well. If necessary, the therapist will contact your physician with any questions regarding progress or diagnosis.

Please inform the physical therapist of all upcoming doctor appointments so that they can communicate with your doctor and provide any updates prior to the appointment.
